A lot of what we do is upgrade bars that have old and antiquated mixers, amplifiers, EQs, worn and tired-out speakers, etc. I’ve noticed that bars over the years keep replacing their sound person over and over and each new sound person has an idea of what the bar needs. So after awhile the bar ends up with a menagerie of mixers, amps, EQs and sound effects units strewn all over the place with wires going everywhere.
My upgrades usually involve removing this antiquated and mostly analog nightmare with a simplified all digital, easy to use soundboard.
Many bar owners have told us that after we have installed our new all digital soundboard, even the owner can run the board. We simplify the audio booth so that anybody can operate it easily and professionally.
I’ve also noticed that in most bars we go into the amplifiers and speakers are usually not matched properly. With an unmatched amp and speaker combination the vocals are usually distorted and lost in the mix, which is a huge complaint by the audience and bands. Most bars are not set up with the proper crossovers to make the vocals come out clearly. Depending on the equipment I can adjust the crossovers and mix most of the problem. Those bars I go into are wired monaural therefore there is no sound separation on the stage to clean up distortion and make a great sound mix.
For most venues that have problems with their sound, it is usually just a matter of an adjustment or adding a piece of equipment here or there to make their existing equip sound awesome.
If you are not satisfied with your sound system in your bar, I do not charge for a consultation! Give me a call and I will come out.
